Whoo hoo! I’ve been watching for an update and hoping for the best. (BTW: I don’t comment very often, but I’m a longtime reader). This is wonderful news!
I saw a comment you left on another blog (impatient kate) and started reading yours. I am so glad that your worries were unfounded! Congrats! Here’s to a very uneventful pregnancy!
I clicked over from LFCA and am so happy to see this good news!! I have PCOS as well and my LO (product of IUI #3) is 5 months old, so I really look forward to following along with you now as you prep for #2!!!
March 2008 - August 2008 - 7 failed rounds of Clomid. Ovulated during the first 5 cycles, but all BFN.
August 2008 - find out we have male factor (low morphology ~ 4%)
September 2008 - First RE appointment. Plan is to try 3 more Clomid and IUI cycles.
October 2008- Increased dose of clomid fails again. On to injectables.
November 2008 - First follistim/IUI cycle. BFP on 15dpo! Oh wait- low beta, falling. Early miscarriage.
December 2008 - Moving on to second follistim/IUI cycle. IUI # 2 on 12/27. BFN.
January 2009 - Cycle canceled due to cysts.
February 2009 - 3rd Follistim/IUI cycle. IUI on 3/3. Yet another failure.
March/April - RE recommends moving on to IVF w/ICSI. I ask to try Femara for the hell of it. Not optimistic that it will even make me ovulate, but whatever.
4/12 - BFP 9dpo. Holy shit!
4/15 - 1st beta: 79 at 12 dpo
4/17 - 2nd beta: 250 at 14 dpo
5/1 - 6w0d ultrasound shows one baby with a heartbeat! Still in complete shock.
5/18 - 8w3d ultrasound shows everything is still going well. Released to ob/gyn.
6/2 - 10w3d ultrasound. The baby is still alive, and it has grown appropriately.
6/12 - 12 weeks. NT scan shows growing, wiggling baby. Holy shit, this might actually be happening.
7/24 - 18 weeks. Baby is still alive with a great heartbeat.
HOORAY! I was thinking about you all weekend.
